Memories for a lifetime
Shauna, Sherry, Tyra & Alecia
Hi everyone! My name is Tyra Green and I would like to share with you the journey of my trip with my longtime friend & European traveling buddy, Shauna and my two new found travel mates and friends, Sherry & Alecia.
I know, you are thinking 4 women traveling together in a foreign country could find a lot of trouble to get in to. Well, we didn't , not TOO much anyway. We were ALMOST perfect angels. I will just leave it at that and leave the rest to your imagination . What happens in Europe stays in Europe! Well, unless someone get's it on camera or video!! I took over 3000 photos myself so there should not have been a moment that wasn't captured. It was very hard to decide what pictures to include because I took so many!
This was my 2nd trip to Europe. Shauna and I had gone to London & Paris in 2008 with another tour group who's name shall remain anonymous. We were not pleased at all with the tour so Shauna recommended to take a Rick Steves' tour since she had previously taken other tours and really liked them . I have to say, this trip was 100% better than with the other tour and I am so glad she decided to take me along with her on this trip.
I am so excited to share my journey across Europe with these 3 amazing women and our new group of wonderful friends as we travel Europe through the back door and our incredible experiences along the way. This definitely was a trip of a lifetime and I can't wait to do it again!!
"Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today".
This was the most amazing group of people! I feel so blessed to have had the privilege to begin a trip with these "strangers" who quickly became my friends. I could not have asked for a better tour guide, bus drivers, or tour group to travel with. We did not have to worry about the "No Grumps" policy with this gang. They were the nicest people you could ever meet. Thank you all for making this the "Trip of a Lifetime"!
I was so grateful to get such a wonderful group to travel with. My grandfather had passed away the evening before I left for this trip and I really had a lot on my mind. I was having a very tough time wondering if I had made the right decision by going ahead with the trip. He had cancer and knew that I had this trip planned and made me promise that I would go ahead and go. He said that he regretted not going to places that he had wanted to go and for me to make sure I made this trip or I would regret it. He said "Life was short and not to put things off because you never know what tomorrow will bring." I am grateful that I was able to say my "goodbye" to him before hand because I knew he was gravely ill and that it was possible that he could pass away while I was gone, but I never dreamed he would go so quickly. Needless to say, I still have days to where I regret not being there for his funeral but I do know in my heart , that he knew I was there with him the last days of his life and that he would be happy that I made this trip! I guess my point is, I am so happy that I ended up with such a great tour group because I do not think I could have made it through the trip without the kind words of encouragement that I received from my traveling buddies and my newly made friends.
